A student of Washington university in St. Louis, studying for a semester in Denmark, was visiting Rome and was not feeling well, while recovering at a local hospital in Rome with her mother.
Jacqueline Levey, director of Hillel in St. Louis, contacted Chabad asking them to visit her in the hospital. Mrs. Rivkie Lazar of Chabad Piazza Bologna went to visit and brought along grape juice, Challot, pastries and Shabbat candles.
Mother and daughter were delighted by the visit and told Rivkie that they know the Chabad shluchim at the Washington University, Rabbi Hershey and Chana Novack, and that she joins them at their Friday night Shabbat dinner every week.
