The past week a Jewish baby boy was born in Rome, the mother an employee of the U.S. Embassy reached out to Chabad to arrange the circumcision ceremony.
Rabbi Lazar introduced the family to an English speaking mohel from Milan, Rabbi Shmuel Hezkia, who made himself available whenever the ceremony would take place.
Thanks to the help of the grandmother who came from the States, Mrs. Rivkie Lazar who prepared the refreshments in american style and thanks to Mr. Vito Arbib who organized a quorum of ten men on his own initiative on a very short notice at midday, the ceremony which took place at their home in the center of Rome, was beautiful in all ways, from the spiritual aspect to the food. The newborn was named Yitzchok Aizik. Chabad dedicated a Shabbat meal in his honor.
