The Olive Press Workshop is always enjoyed by all children, demonstrating the craft of extracting the juice from the olives, pressing them and later separating the juice from the oil to finally light the wick is of great interest for a child that grows up in the city.
Rabbi Lazar demonstrated all this to the children of the Chabad’s Sunday Hebrew School (Talmud Torah) run by Rabbi Hazan and located in the premises of the Gan Chaya kindergarten. The children also learned in a fun way how and where to light the Chanukà candles.
Each child receive a small jar of olive oil and a sticker as a souvenir of the experience.
