Rabbi and Mrs. Menachem & Rivkie Lazar participated at the annual Chabad on Campus convention during the summer where they attended various workshops and meet fellow Shluchim serving Jewish university students around the globe.
At the convention they met also with the the founders and current staff of the Jewish Heritage Program, they discussed how to encourage students to volunteer, one idea that will be hopefully implemented this year, funds permitting, is to enable students to host a Kosher Shabbat meal in their own apartments.
Another idea that will be implemented in this upcoming year, due to request from a number of students, is to inaugurate a lounge where students could study during the day.
