This year marked the 7th year that Chabad organized a simultaneously run public Seder. The Sedarim were divided by language and were led by Rabbi Menachem Lazar in Hebrew and by Rabbi Levi Harlig, from Las Vegas, in English. Additionally, for the very first time, Chabad organized a public Seder on the second night.
Many visitors and tourists as well as local and foreign students participated. One tourist, upon arriving exclaimed, “Rabbi! If not for you, I would not have had a Seder tonight!”.
Many locals who were unable to provide for themselves and have their own Seder, participated as well. One such family posted online after Pesach, “I would like to thank Chabad in my name and in the name of my family for the hospitality throughout the holiday. How fortunate you are, to have helped and hosted so many people during Pesach”.
In total, throughout the three public Sedarim, over 200 people attended! Security was provided by the local police. Special thanks to all the sponsors and all the students who helped in the preparations.
